Responsibilities
The IT Operations Engineer provide technical support, monitor the production environments, and perform the application deployment activities.
Job Duties
- Tier 2 production support
- Address production issues and service requests within the agreed SLA timeframe
- Environment monitoring (of our logs, batch etc)
- Review health check reports, alerts, and system logs
- Address issues/warnings before they have any negative impact
- Production deployments
- Validate that all pre-production activities are complete
- Conduct the deployment activities
- Perform post deployment activities and monitoring
- Incident management
- Asses the gravity when an incident occur, and follow the escalation process
- Work on the resolution and follow-up with all parties involved
- Production housekeeping activities
- Perform housekeeping activities on a regular basis
Requirements
- Computer engineering degree holder
- Able to code in Java or other object-oriented languages
- Familiar with SQL
- Problem solver
- Able to quickly grasp new technology, and to deal with multiple environments and platforms
