Responsibilities
The Chinese Business Unit Lead will create and implement a strategy to reach out to Chinese-speaking potential customers and build operational support and best-in class service, while cultivating a growth working environment.
Job Duties
- Empowering, selecting, coaching, and retaining qualified Chinese-speaking staff that will contribute to unit goals and the company at large
- Provide direction and guidance to subordinates, which includes putting up working standards and monitoring performance.
- Monitor and review business unit’s project activities and ensure that they are brought to completion within scheduled period of time and budget
- Provide effective management to the business unit activities that have to do with its strategic and financial growth
- Responsible for training and mentoring staff, motivating them for effective performance for the general growth of the company
- Set up the business unit’s strategies for promotional activities
- Coordinate with other teams like the marketing team in order to develop plans for launching of new products, and promotions, and then its implementation
- Coordinate with other heads of departments, integrating objectives and ideas for organizational growth
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop the Chinese website and all the necessary communications for the whole customer journey
- Proofreading all the Chinese communications and approve them before production
- Explore and analyse market trends and identify new opportunities
Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or in any related field
- Direct experience in Project Management and/or Marketing and Sales
- Insurance background, specifically in motor, is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule
- Planning skills, ability to develop specific plans and goals to help in accomplishing tasks efficiently
- Ability to tack complaints and resolve disputes and conflicts
- Native Mandarin speaker, can read and write Simplified Chinese (Mandatory)
- Existing strong connections within the Chinese community in Thailand is an advantage
- Good spoken and written English
- Thai speaking skills are an asset
- Motivating skills, able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation
