How does the app connect and track trips?
The app starts and ends a trip when the device connects to or disconnects from the car’s Bluetooth. While the app is connected, it retrieves the user’s location at regular intervals to calculate speed. This speed is then compared to the speed limit of the roads driven.

Who can use iSafeDrive?
All Roojai customers with a valid car policy can use the app, including both car insurance and EV car insurance.
What kind of insights can I gain from using iSafeDrive?
iSafeDrive automatically calculates your Driving Score based on your driving behaviour. As of January 2025, the application provides the following insights:
- Your trip distance
- Your trip duration
- Over speeding events categorised by speed (km/h above the speed limit):
- Within the speed limit
- 0-10 km/h above limit
- 10-20 km/h above limit
- 20-30 km/h above limit
- 30+ km/h above limit

How is my Driving Score calculated?
The app generates your Driving Score and the breakdown of the speeding behaviour per trip. We do not disclose how we calculate your Driving Score. However, it is influenced by the following categories:
- Driving within the speed limit
- 0 to 10 km/h above the limit
- 10 to 20 km/h above the limit
- 20 to 30 km/h above the limit
- More than 30 km/h above the limit
What does my Driving Score mean?
- From 100 to 90: Excellent
- From 89 to 80: Very Good
- From 79 to 70: Good
- From 69 to 60: Fair
- From 59 to 50: Average
- From 49 to 0: Poor
What are the available rewards?
By completing trips, you will earn driving bonus. Collect bonuses and convert them to Roojai Rewards before redeeming them on Roojai Mobile App! You can redeem your earned bonuses for digital vouchers from our partners such as PT, Shopee, Starbucks, and Roojai kangaroo dolls.
In addition to earning bonuses from safe driving, you can earn Roojai Rewards by referring friends and renewing insurance with Roojai.
Could my Roojai premium go up at renewal if I use iSafeDrive?
No. We do not increase your premium at renewal based on your driving behaviour recorded by iSafeDrive. In the future, we may introduce new services based on iSafeDrive. These will be different from your current service, and you’ll be notified accordingly.
Could my policy be cancelled because of the data collected by iSafeDrive?
No. Your policy cannot be cancelled because of the data collected by iSafeDrive.

What if someone else drives my car?
iSafeDrive detects your car’s Bluetooth when you enter your car, but it cannot differentiate between drivers. If someone else drives your car while you are present in the same vehicle, your Driving Score can be affected.

Does iSafeDrive have data safety and protection?
Yes, we use both encryption and tokenisation technology to safeguard user’s sensitive information. The data is anonymised and may be shared with third-parties for regulatory requirements or processed by third-parties to operate our service, as mentioned in our Privacy Policy.
Why does iSafeDrive need access to my device location?
iSafeDrive needs to access your device location to calculate your speed while you are driving. Without your location, we can’t operate the service for you.
Why does iSafeDrive need access to my device’s Bluetooth?
iSafeDrive needs access to your device’s Bluetooth to connect to your car’s Bluetooth system. Without this connection, we can’t operate the service for you.
What data does iSafeDrive record?
iSafeDrive records your GPS position at intervals to determine your speed on the road. This data is then compared with the applicable speed limits on the roads you travel to identify any instances of speeding.
How is the data collected by iSafeDrive used?
The data recorded on your device is used to calculate a Driving Score for each trip. Driving Scores will be displayed in the app.
