Coverage for damage to the vehicle

Own damages – collision with third party

The company will compensate for damages to the vehicle including specified additional accessories, equipment and any fixture during the insurance period caused by the collision with third party.

Limits of liability: are not exceeding ฿200,000 per occurrence.

Towing service

In case of accident covered by the policy, you can request for towing 24/7.

Limits of liability: are equal to 20% of repair cost.

Third party liability coverage

Liability for third party property damages

The company will compensate for damages to third party property which the insured is legally liable for.

Limits of liability: are not exceeding ฿2,500,000 per occurrence.

Liability for third party bodily injuries and loss of life

The company will compensate for damages to health, body, or loss of life of third party caused by the insured vehicle during the insurance period.

Limits of liability: Adjustable, not exceeding ฿ 3,000,000 per person and not exceeding ฿ 10,000,000 per occurrence.

Additional coverage

Medical expenses

The company will pay actual and reasonable medical expenses, surgical expenses and hospital service expenses for any covered person who sustains bodily injuries caused by accident while in, or entering into and existing from the vehicle.

Limits of liability: Adjustable, not exceeding ฿ 500,000 per person.

Personal accident coverage

The company will pay compensation for loss or bodily injuries of the insured person(s) caused by loss of life, loss of hand, loss of foot, loss of vision, permanent disability, and temporary disability. The company will compensate in accordance with the amount of indemnity stated in the Policy Schedule.

Limits of liability: Adjustable, not exceeding ฿ 500,000 per person.

Car Insurance Coverage Options

Excess

You can save money by choosing a policy with an excess. Roojai.com offers lower premiums for policies with an excess.

If you make a claim where you are at fault , you pay for your vehicle’s repair costs up to the amount of the excess. The insurance company will pay for your vehicle’s repair costs above the amount of the excess.

If you make a claim where you are not at fault, the excess will not apply.

Here are some examples to show how your policy excess works:

  • You purchase a policy with an excess of ฿ 3,000.
  • You make a fault claim and it costs ฿ 25,000 to repair your vehicle. You pay ฿ 3,000 and the insurance company pays the rest (฿ 22,000).
  • You make a claim involving a third-party where the third-party was at fault and it costs ฿ 40,000 to repair your vehicle. Your excess does not apply since you were not at fault. The insurance company pays for all your repair costs (฿ 40,000). You do not pay anything.

You will pay less if you choose a policy with excess and don’t make any claims, since Roojai.com offers lower premiums for policy excess.

However, if you choose a policy with excess and make one or more claims, you may end up paying more, as in this example:

  • The premium of a policy with an excess of ฿ 3,000 is ฿ 10,000.
  • The insurance premium for the same policy without excess is ฿ 12,000.
  • You choose the policy with an excess of ฿ 3,000 and save ฿ 2,000 initially.
  • During the year, you make a fault claim and it costs ฿ 25,000 to repair your vehicle. You pay ฿ 3,000 and the insurance company pays the rest (฿ 22,000).
  • In this case you paid ฿ 1,000 more by choosing the excess (saving ฿ 2,000 on the premium and paying ฿ 3,000 towards the repair costs).

There is no right or wrong selection when it comes to choosing your policy excess. It’s up to you!

What are the repair plans?

Roojai offers 3 options for repairing your vehicle:

  1. Repair at our preferred garage

    Roojai has set up partnerships with many carefully chosen repair garages around Thailand. These preferred garages provide great service and high-quality repair at a lower cost to us. We pass on this cost saving to you, by offering you affordable insurance premiums.

    We also offer you a 12-month warranty for repairs carried out by our preferred garages, to reassure you that the work is of the highest quality!

  2. Repair at dealer garage

    Roojai has relationships with many dealer garages. Using one of Roojai’s listed garages will make the repair process easier and quicker for you. We also offer you a 12-month warranty for repairs carried out by our preferred garages and dealer garages. If you repair your vehicle at another dealer garage which is not in Roojai’s garage list, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so that we can make arrangements with the garage to accommodate you.

  3. Repair at any garage

    This option gives you total freedom: you can bring your vehicle to be repaired at any garage in Thailand. Using one of Roojai’s listed repair garages will make the repair process easier and quicker for you. If you repair your vehicle at another garage not it Roojai’s garage list, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so that we can make arrangements with the garage to accommodate you.

Driver Plan

You can save money by specifying who will drive your car, or you can choose a more flexible driver plan that allows more people to drive your car. Roojai.com offers four different driver plans to suit your needs.

  1. Named Driver plan:

    This plan has the lowest premiums. You need to specify everyone who will be driving your car (up to 4 people). This plan only covers accidents occurring when one of the drivers named on the policy is driving your car. Coverage may not be provided if anyone else is driving the car at the time of the accident.

  2. Any Driver 30 years old and more plan:

    This plan offers more convenience than the Named Driver plan at a slightly higher price. Anyone aged 30 or more can drive your car without needing to be named on the policy.

    You need to specify the main driver, which is the person who will be driving your car most of the time. This plan will cover accidents occurring when the main driver or anyone aged 30 or more is driving your car. Coverage will not be provided if anyone aged under 30 (who is not the main driver) is driving the car at the time of the accident.

  3. Any Driver 25 years old and more plan:

    This plan offers more convenience than the Any Driver 30 years old and more plan at a slightly higher price. Anyone aged 25 or more can drive your car without needing to be named on the policy.

    You need to specify the main driver, which is the person who will be driving your car most of the time. This plan will cover accidents occurring when the main driver or anyone aged 25 or more is driving your car. Coverage will not be provided if anyone aged under 25 (who is not the main driver) is driving the car at the time of the accident.

  4. Any driver plan:

    This plan is the most convenient but also the most expensive. Anyone can drive your car without needing to be named on the policy.

    This plan will cover all accidents regardless of who is driving the car at the time of the accident. You still need to specify the main driver on the policy
