What is the waiting period for extended warranty insurance?

Extended warranty insurance does not have a waiting period but the insured vehicle must be inspected before the policy is effective.

When does the extended warranty insurance policy become effective after purchase?

The policy will be effective after the insured vehicle is inspected and approved.

How to claim for extended warranty insurance?

You can report to Roojai and submit the following documents at your own expense within 30 days from the event date:

  • Completed claim form
  • Copy of the insured ID card/passport
  • Copy of the car registration manual
  • Copy of the car manufacturer’s warranty card (if any)
  • Other documents requested by the company as necessary

What is the roadside assistance service?

Roojai offers 24/7 roadside assistance. The service includes the following benefits

When is the policy terminated?

When one of the following events occurs, whichever comes first:

  1. at the end of the insurance period as stated in the policy schedule
  2. the vehicle age (no. of years) and mileage are as above the limits stated in the policy schedule
  3. the company has paid compensation equal to the sum insured
  4. the vehicle has additional modifications, outside the specifications and standards set by the manufacturer
  5. the vehicle is used for racing or racing purposes, or used in driving lesson at a driving school, or used for rental, as a taxi or for public transportation

Can I cancel my policy?

Yes, you are entitled to cancel your insurance policy by notifying us in writing and you will receive a premium reimbursement according to the short-term premium schedule specified in the policy.

You can cancel the policy when you never report any claim for the extended warranty insurance before the cancellation date.

Terms and conditions for extended warranty insurance

  1. The car must be registered in Thailand only
  2. Car features:
    • New car - still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, no more than 36 months old or mileage is not over 100,000 km from the delivery date
    • Used car - outside the manufacturer’s warranty period, no more than 180 months old or mileage is not over 250,000 km from the delivery date
  3. Covered only within Thailand

What is NOT covered

  1. A vehicle with additional modifications , outside the specifications and standards set by the manufacturer
  2. A vehicle used for racing or racing purposes;a vehicle used for driving lesson at a driving school; a vehicle used for rental, as a taxi or for public transportation
  3. Deteriorated parts, shock absorbers, wheel bearings, and rubber components
  4. Noise caused by regular use and deterioration
  5. Repairs made by anyone other than the manufacturer or repairs that have not been approved by the manufacturer
  6. Regular car maintenance due to usage: odometer, changing car tires, battery, and consumable spare parts such as windshield wipers, air filters, engine oil, including the change of sound and audio system, entertainment equipment, or spare parts that not specified in the insuring agreement or not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty
  7. Repairs do to a collision with a vehicle, wearing out, natural deterioration, or gnawing by animals
  8. Damages that can be claimed under the manufacturer’s warranty and it hasn't been fixed completely.
