Finance Manager

Responsibilities

Finance manager leader role with responsibility over key strategic and operational aspects of the finance function for an Insurtech, which is one of the most dynamic and exciting sectors in fintech. The person will report directly to the Group CFO and will undertake responsibilities over critical accounting and financial information for the company’s top management and shareholders’ consumption. A first hand responsibility over the cash management and the budgeting process, which will also provide insight and participation in the finance strategy and a deep-dive into the business model of the company. The manager will have first hand responsibility over key stakeholders, such as reinsurance and funds providers and will also engage with investors and support the company’s capital raising efforts.

Job Duties

  • Consolidated management reporting and associated charge and cost allocation
  • Prepare Board Deck and Shareholder’s reports
  • Cash management: manage cash flow and improve cash reporting
  • Budgeting process, finance strategy implementation and revision
  • Define and implement financial management reporting and performance monitoring
  • Technical insurance reporting; e.g., Reinsurance reporting
  • Sign-off financial statements and direct change in chart of accounts
  • Negotiate and review financial arrangements with partners
  • Manage the regulatory requirements in collaboration with the legal team
  • Monitoring and reporting associated with all funding of the Company
  • Capital funding and investor relationships
  • Define IT specification for the financial processes

Requirements

  • CPA or CPD, Thai preferred
  • Strong finance background
  • At least 7 years experience in Insurance accounting as an external auditor at one of the Big 4 or within an insurance company
  • Superior analytical skills and understanding of Data Analytics as applied to the business
  • Strong command of English both informal and business English
  • Sound communication skills; ability to engage at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Energetic, self-motivating, entrepreneurial, optimistic, adaptable, high sense of personal integrity and honesty
  • “Hands-on” and a “doer” but with the ability to build and scale up organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Risk Management experience, a plus
  • Strong command of Powerpoint, Excel and Word; Data Analytics software (SQL, Tableu, Python) knowledge a plus
