Position: Senior Underwriter
Department: Underwriter & Pricing
Location: Chonburi, Thailand

Contribute to growth and profitability Motor profit center.
Ensure compliance with internal and external underwriting authorities
Support sales and claims departments in delivering an outstanding customer experience

As junior underwriter, plus:

Train and support junior underwriters by sharing knowledge and experience
Propose evolution of underwriting process (e.g. for repeated underwriting requests)
Analyze results of quality assessment of sales team and report these to underwriting management
Propose evolution of quality assessment of sales team process
Propose changes to the internal grouping database (e.g. new vehicles)
Support new product development as required
Support profit center manager by assisting with other duties when requested

Bachelor’s degree in a numerate or semi-numerate subject. Graduating from actuarial related field is an advantage
Communicates confidently in English and Thai in a business environment
Strong IT skills, including MS Excel
At least 4 years’ relevant work experience is an advantage
Wants to learn new skills and will take on tasks that are outside of the job description
Works logically, independently and actively to break down and solve problems.
Prior experience in (motor) insurance is an advantage
Experience of supporting and training others
