Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the group companies’ and the group’s compliance with applicable laws, with focus on compliance with rules and regulations issued by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Advising the business and operations teams in regards to legal and regulatory compliance pertaining to business practices and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with other related teams including risk management, internal audit, and legal.

Job Duties

  • Advising on legal and compliance risks and providing relevant support to business teams.
  • Monitoring changes (or proposed changes) to laws and regulations affecting the insurance and insurance broker businesses.
  • Proposing and implementing improvements to the compliance framework, management system, and compliance monitoring procedures.
  • Working independently to ensure required actions pertaining to legal and compliance topics are addressed, including reporting requirements.
  • Participation in different committees relevant to compliance and legal topics.
  • Collaboration with business teams in order to ensure and verify compliance with applicable regulations, Thai law,  and company policies and procedures. 
  • Record-keeping and maintenance of legal and compliance documentation.
  • Review, revise, and draft any internal rules and regulations, as well as communications.
  • Monitoring of permits and licenses and notifying relevant teams of any required actions.
  • Liaising with relevant external parties including government authorities.
  • Serving as contact point with regulators for inquiries and filing and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborating with compliance teams of group companies to ensure group-wide compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Preferences

Requirements :

  • Able to independently perform compliance functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic credentials.
  • Not less than 4 years of compliance experience in an insurance/brokerage company.
  • Excellent command of Thai; strong ability to communicate and collaborate in English.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, including writing and presentation.
  • Ability to explain complex regulatory matters to business and operations teams.
  • Availability to travel from time to time (at the company’s expense).

Preferred additional qualifications :

  • Experience in handling OIC-related matters, whether it be filing, reporting, or consultation strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with personal data protection laws and regulations
  • Experience in the insurance/brokerage industry.
